Tashkent – Military History and Wine Tasting
This day in Tashkent was about the meeting of history and gastronomy. The program began with a visit to a military history museum, where the focus is mainly on the 20th century and the former Soviet period, providing a clear sense of the region’s recent past and military heritage. The exhibition is compact and easy to navigate, yet detailed enough to give useful context to the historical layers of the city.
After the morning cultural program, the atmosphere shifts with a guided wine tasting on the outskirts of the city. The visit introduces not only the wines themselves but also the estate, the vineyards, and the winemaking process. The tasting is accompanied by a selection of cheeses and fruits, making the experience relaxed and conversational rather than rushed.
The day concludes with a lunch served on site — creating a balanced, calm city program that combines culture, local gastronomy, and a slower pace.

State Museum of Armed Forces of Uzbekistan
State Museum of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan – Tashkent
Start:
can be combined well with programs around Amir Timur Square
Stay duration:
1–1.5 hours
The museum presents the military history of Uzbekistan from ancient times to the modern armed forces. The exhibition is organized into thematic sections covering the Timurid campaigns, the era of the Central Asian khanates, the Tsarist and Soviet periods, and the formation of the national army after independence.
Inside the museum visitors can see weapons, uniforms, flags, and scale models, while the outdoor area displays military equipment such as armored vehicles and artillery pieces.
It is a strongly national narrative collection that complements the cultural context provided by historical and art museums.
📍 Location: Tashkent, near Amir Timur Square
⏰ Opening hours:
Tuesday–Saturday 10:00–17:00 (closed Monday, hours may vary)
💵 Admission:

UZUMFERMER Wine Tasting
UZUMFERMER wine tasting – local Uzbek wine experience in Tashkent
Start:
ideal as an evening program
Stay duration:
1–1.5 hours
The UZUMFERMER wine tasting offers an opportunity to discover Uzbekistan’s lesser-known but historically rich winemaking tradition. Grapes have been cultivated in the region since ancient times, while modern Uzbek wine production expanded during the Soviet period.
During the tasting several local wines are presented — including dry, semi-dry, and dessert varieties — often accompanied by a short introduction to the vineyards and production methods.
From a gastronomic perspective it provides an interesting contrast after the plov and bazaar experiences: a more intimate, conversation-oriented program that reveals another side of modern Uzbekistan.
📍 Location: Tashkent (exact address provided upon reservation)
⏰ Opening hours:
by prior reservation (appointment required)
💵 Admission:
approx. 100,000–250,000 UZS depending on tasting package
